Deosan Phos Clean PM can be applied in a variety of routines according to specific farm needs.

1. Daily parlour cleaning routine:
Use Deosan Phos Clean PM in cold or warm water as part of a daily cleaning program, where at least one daily hot wash is carried out with an appropriate alkali detergent.

• Wash clusters to remove soiling and attach jetters.
• Rinse out the system with clean cold or warm water, running to waste until the returning water runs completely clear (Guide: 15 litres per milking unit).
• Prepare a wash solution by adding 200 ml of Deosan Phos Clean PM to every 40 litres of water (equates to 5ml/litre of water). Circulate the wash solution through the system for up to 10 minutes.
• Run the solution to waste and rinse the system thoroughly with clean cold potable water (Guide: 15 litres per milking unit).  A Deosan terminal disinfectant may be added to the rinse water where required and permitted. 
• Drain the plant thoroughly.

2. Descale and milkstone routines:
For best results carry out a normal hot water wash with an appropriate alkali detergent, rinsing thoroughly and then follow on with one of the routines below:
a. Milkstone Prevention routine:
Make up a solution of Deosan Phos Clean PM at a rate of 9 ml/litre in cold or warm water and circulate for up to 10 minutes. Run solution to waste. Rinse thoroughly and drain. Use regularly as required, but at least monthly.
b. Milkstone Removal treatment:
Make up a solution of Deosan Phos Clean PM at a rate of 50 ml/litre in cold or warm water and circulate for up to 10 minutes. Run solution to waste. Rinse thoroughly and drain. Use as and when required.

3. Enclosed Bulk Milk Tanks – Periodic acid wash
Immediately after the tank is emptied, rinse out thoroughly with clean cold water. Circulate a solution of Deosan Phos Clean PM at a rate of 9 ml/litre of water at approximately 70°C for 10 minutes, before running to waste. Rinse away acid wash solution with clean cold, fresh water, send to waste and drain.
